As a wedding planner, I had the honor of orchestrating Lydia & Nate’s winter Red Butte garden wedding.

THE VENUE: RED BUTTE GARDENS

Nestled at the foothills of the majestic Wasatch Mountains, Red Butte Gardens is a haven of natural beauty and tranquility. It has breathtaking mountain, valley, and garden views, and was the perfect venue choice for Lydia & Nate.

Hair & Makeup

Lydia chose to get ready with her bridesmaids at the Grand America Hotel. She hired a hair and makeup artist and had a fun morning exchanging stories, and hanging with her best girl friends! I highly recommend that every bride do this!! Hire your photographer for an extra hour and have her take all your getting ready photos at a different location! This was a perfect way for Lydia to start her wedding day!

CAPTURING THE MOMENTS

The setting was straight out of a fairytale – lush greenery, and GORGEOUS flowers! Lydia looked absolutely gorgeous in her flowing gown, and the Nate couldn’t stop beaming with happiness. They were so in love, it was like they were in their own little bubble, completely lost in the moment. This photo from Terra Ong Photography perfectly captures the start of their new chapter in their story.

PRIVATE MOMENTS

One thing that I always suggest to my clients is to take some private moments throughout your wedding day. Take a step back from all the guests, all the set up, and the photos and find a moment to soak in the day by yourself. Lydia & Nate COULD NOT stop smiling at each other and their love was infectious to those around them. This photo is one of my absolute favorites from the gallery of their day. It so clearly showcases the love they share for each other.

NEW TRADITIONS

While the cutting the cake is a tradition that many people guests included love watching, Lydia and Nate shook it up a bit and chose to do a pie cut. Their one request? They didn’t want to know the flavor of their pie so that would be a surprise too!

AND THEN THEY DANCED

Lydia and Nate danced with their family and friends for hours! They hired the best DJ! DJ Russ Powell and they played hits that got every single person on the dance floor.

IN CONCLUSION

I still cannot get over how adoringly Nate looks at Lydia. This is a rare love and beauty that not many find.

Celebrating with Lydia & Nate was an absolute honor and I can’t wait to create more beautiful love stories like theirs. Until next time, keep spreading the love!
